New Shiny Button in PDF Prime 2.0.5

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

PDF Prime now sports a new little button on the lower left of the main screen.  It will only appear when files are merged, split, locked, or unlocked successfully.  Pressing this ‘Show Results’ button opens a Windows Explorer window showing the location of the last file processed.

Click the 'Show Results' button after merging, splitting, locking, or unlocking.

We didn’t release an update just to show off a new button.  We also fixed a few minor yet stubborn bugs that were making themselves present a little too often.  We already have list of enhancements a bakers-dozen long for the next version.  So many changes in fact, we are jumping to version 2.5, and will post a few screenshots of the next version as they become available.  Stay tuned!

PDF Prime version 2.0.3: New Enhancements

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

We just made the easiest to use PDF editor even more faster and useful. Users and customers suggested we make a few changes to enhance PDF Prime and make it more powerful. We made some of those changes, plus added a few things of our own to make PDF more powerful than ever.

PDF Prime Main Screen

Two new buttons!  The first is a preview button that will appear when you add a PDF file to PDF Prime. This button lets you preview merge and split actions before you actually do the merging or splitting. More on that later. The second button is a clear screen button. If you have a few files listed in PDF Prime and you want to clear what you are doing and start fresh, just press the “Clear” button.

Merge or Split Portions of PDF Files

Now you can tell PDF Prime to merge or split portions of PDF files. This enables you to create custom merged PDF files by merging sections of individual PDF files together into one merged file. For example, if you have two PDF files you want to merge, but only want pages two and three of the second file, the result would be a single file merged together according to the settings you created.  You can also split pages of a PDF files in a similar way, and is especially useful for getting selected pages from large PDF files.

Merge and Split Action Preview:

PDF Prime now lets you to preview what you merge and split.  This is especially useful if you have a multiple files to combine together or split apart.  The preview screen shows in an easy to read list, showing the file name and what portion of the PDF file is being split or merged.

There’s a New PDF File Software Utility in Town

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

We just released a new version of PDF Prime.  Why did we make PDF Prime in the first place when there are so many competitors?  There are a dizzying array of options out there, each telling you theirs is the best for one reason or another.  We noticed most other PDF file merge/split software products fell into three categories:

  1. Free, but unmaintained and offer no support.
  2. Expensive enterprise software suites with way more features than most people need.
  3. Cheap, but poorly-designed products often filled with bugs, spamware, or worse.

Our goal is to provide easy to use, quality software that does its job and does it exceptionally well, for a reasonable price.  If you think about anything you purchase, you likely hope that your purchase:

  • Does what the seller says it does.
  • Works without breaking or falling apart.
  • Is not too hard, difficult, or dangerous to use.
  • Was offered at a fair price.

We put ourselves in your shoes, and looked for a software package that combines, divides, and secures PDF files.  We found plenty, but we there were very few available that actually met a prospective purchaser’s needs: a high quality but modestly-priced PDF file merge, split, lock/unlock software package that does what it says it does.

Having said that, we are proud to announce the release of PDF Prime 2.0, the easiest PDF file merging, splitting, locking, and unlocking utility.  We could also sound the trumpets and announce that PDF Prime is also the highest quality, but that should go without saying.  It works.  We guarantee it works.

From the ground up, PDF Prime was designed to be simple to use.  Large colorful buttons and icons show exactly what each software function does, and a progress bar at the bottom shows the you PDF Prime’s progress as it completes the PDF file merge, split, lock, or unlock processing.

So, feel free to give PDF Prime a test drive, for 30 days if you like.  If you find out you like it, we invite you to place an order.  Whether or not you like it, we encourage you to tell us why.
