Unlock PDF Files
You can easily unlock files that have already been locked. You can only unlock using an owner password - user passwords do not unlock PDF files. You can unlock multiple files with the same owner password by doing the following:
- Press the Unlock button
- Go to the Tools menu, then select Unlock.
The Unlock PDF Files screen will appear. There is a space to type in an owner password. Type the owner password in again to confirm the password is correct. Press the Unlock button when you are ready to unlock the files.
You will see a progress bar at the bottom of PDF Prime informing you of the unlocking process. Once unlocking is complete, all new PDF files will be created. These file will be unlocked and have the same names as the original PDF files, but will have “_unlocked” at the end of the file name. These new unlocked PDF files will all be located in the same location as the first file in the list of files to be unlocked.
